Leia Rodriguez, MSPT
Leia began her career as a physical therapist in 2009. She has extensive knowledge of all injury types and mechanisms from knee strains to neck injuries, and welcomes the diverse challenges they each present. Leia earned her master’s degree in musculoskeletal physical therapist which supports her specific interest in the treatment of post-surgical patients as well as athletic injuries. She uses a variety of manual therapy treatment techniques to help her patients with pain so they can return to the activities they love. She is passionate about educating her patients of the importance of a long-term home exercise program to empower the individual to maintain their lifestyle. Like all of our therapists, Leia ensures that each of her patients leave their first treatment session with a full knowledge of their plan of care complete with an assessment, goals, exercises, and a home care program.
Away from RPT, Leia and her husband keep very busy in their free time. They enjoy activities such as boating, cycling, dancing, and going to concerts. This past summer, they celebrated their 10 year anniversary and traveled across the pond to Spain, France, Italy, and Greece. While there, we have no doubt she spent time shopping for her vast collection of coats and sweaters that she is known to wear year-round even in the warm Sacramento summers. We are fortunate to have her in our practice and appreciate her sense of humor as well as her caring and compassionate nature.
