Sean Goetzl, DPT
Sean Goetzl, DPT settled into his position at Rocklin Physical Therapy in the Spring of 2020 with ease. His patients have noted they appreciate how he delivers care by listening to their concerns, develops a goal-oriented plan of action, and explains body mechanics of why they are doing their specific program. He has a big heart for serving others and truly enjoys watching his patients throughout their healing process.
Sean received his bachelors in exercise physiology at Chico State in 2015 and his doctorate in physical therapy at California State University Fresno in 2018. Sean initially attended school with plans to do engineering. During the 4 years he ran track at Chico state, he began to understand the importance and benefits of appropriate rehab. He soon realized PT was a way to carry his passion for sports and exercise into a career that required continuous growth and learning while being able to help others.
Sean treats musculo-skeletal patients with a variety of conditions including back and shoulder pain, but he has a particular interest in conditions of the lower extremity such as hip and knee injury. Sean enjoys the exploratory process of determining the root cause of his patients’ condition in order to develop an effective, safe plan of care that not only relieves pain, but reduces the likelihood of the condition returning. “I believe that no one should be limited in their ability due to injury or pain. I am committed to help my patients achieve their goals of returning to their passions and live a pain-free life,” states Sean.
He is a native Californian, growing up in Santa Cruz and often spent some of his summers enjoying the beautiful lakes in Minnesota with his family growing up. He has great memories of this time filled with many things he loves – family, friends, boating, beach volleyball, fishing and of course, the Minnesota Vikings. He and his fiancé, Alexa, recently purchased a home nearby and are looking forward to their upcoming wedding in the Fall of 2021.
